Hilllary Scott Talks About Faith-Based Album
Hillary Scott came to API to talk to radio about her upcoming, faith-based album, Love Remains. Her first single from the project is a song called "Thy Will," which was written by a recent heartbreaking experience that she will reveal in due time. The album features her parents, Linda Davis and Lang Scott, as well as her little sister, Rylee Scott, and was produced by Ricky Skaggs. Old Dominion On Country Countdown USA
Reigning ACM New Vocal Group of the Year, Old Dominion, joined us on Monday (4/18) to talk to Lon Helton of Country Countdown USA. The band had much to talk about, including winning their first ACM, releasing their debut album Meat And Candy, and earning their first No. 1 song, "Break Up With Him." Old Dominion is also heading out on tour with Kenny Chesney this summer for the second time. They kick it off April 23 at Auburn. More on Old Dominion here, and Country Countdown USA here.
Craig Campbell - Outskirts Of Heaven
Craig Campbell spent two days in our studio (April 13 & 14) promoting his new single "Outskirts Of Heaven." Craig released the song on April 11, the exact day he lost his sister in 1996. Craig wrote on Facebook, "Apr 11, 1996 I lost my sister Lynn in a car accident. Now 20 years later to the day, Apr 11, 2016, #OutskirtsOfHeaven is being released to country radio. Divine coincidence? I am at peace knowing she's there waiting on us." More here.
RJ Young Radio Spots
Engineers at API Nashville produced a huge project for RJ Young on April 12. Six voice talent were hired to record 12 radio spots that will run all over North America. The spots were recorded, edited and mixed to the client's standards.
Dierks Bentley Talks About ACMs, New Album
Capitol's Dierks Bentley stopped by on March 30 to talk to radio stations about his new album Black, as well as his ACM Awards hosting duties with Luke Bryan. The awards air April 3 and Black is set to release May 27. Dierks' current single "Somewhere On A Beach" is making its way up the charts.
